Terms of Service
Last updated: October 11, 2026. These terms apply when you use Clockhund (clockhund.com). We have kept them as short and plain as we can. Some sections apply only to consumers or only to businesses; they say so.
1. Who provides the service
Clockhund is provided by Dibsido.com s.r.o., Hlinky 995/70, Staré Brno, 603 00 Brno, Czech Republic, company ID 04779568, VAT ID CZ04779568 ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@clockhund.com or the form on our support page. Company details: legal notice.
2. What Clockhund does
Clockhund adds up working hours: time cards with breaks and overnight shifts, overtime by the rules you pick, pay, converters between hours and minutes and decimal hours, and timesheets as PDF and CSV. The calculators on the website are free and need no account. With a free account you keep the hours of one person on our servers; the team plan keeps hours for several people (section 6).
3. Calculations, not legal advice
The calculators apply the rules shown next to them (for example the U.S. federal overtime rule, a state preset or the German Working Hours Act) to what you enter. They are calculations, not legal, tax or payroll advice. Collective agreements, contracts and special rules can change the result, so check results against the contract and the law that apply to you. We link the sources we used and the date we checked them.
4. How the contract is made, language and storage
- The calculators can be used without a contract. A contract for a free account is made when you request a login link and open it. By doing so you accept these terms.
- The team plan is ordered in the app; the contract is made when you complete the payment in Paddle's checkout (section 6). Before you pay, Paddle's checkout shows the price, the billing period and lets you correct your entries.
- You must be at least 16 years old and give an email address you control.
- These terms are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish and Italian. The contract can be concluded in any of these languages. If a translation differs from the English text, the version more favourable to you applies.
- We do not keep a separate copy of the contract text for you. The current terms are always on this page, and you can save or print them. We email you about your subscription when it starts.
5. The free version
The calculators and the free account are free of charge. We may develop the free version further, change what it includes or end it; we tell account holders by email at least 30 days before we take away features they use, and what you have already saved stays available for you to download.
6. The team plan
- The team plan is a subscription per account, not per person, billed monthly or yearly. It covers up to 15 people with hours in a calendar month and adds shift templates, payroll exports and an overtime balance per person. For more people, write to us.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. The purchase is subject to the Paddle buyer terms. The price, including any VAT or sales tax, is shown before you pay.
- The plan is active straight after payment. It renews automatically for the same period (a month or a year) until it is cancelled.
- Yearly plans: we remind you by email at least one month before each yearly renewal. If you are a consumer and your yearly plan has already renewed at least once, you can cancel it at any time with one month's notice; we refund the unused full months.
- Price changes: the price you subscribed at applies until the end of the period you paid for. If we want to change the price of your subscription, we tell you by email at least 30 days before your next renewal. A higher price applies only if you agree to it; if you don't, the subscription ends at the end of the period you paid for and you don't pay the higher price.
7. Cancelling the team plan
- You can cancel at any time: in the app (Cancel subscription in the team plan box), on our cancellation page without logging in, or by email to hello@clockhund.com.
- The plan then stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. Your saved hours stay in your account, which continues as a free account.
- We confirm every cancellation by email, with the date and time we received it and the date it takes effect.
- Your right to cancel for good cause (extraordinary termination) is not affected.
8. Right of withdrawal and refunds
- If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Paddle buyer terms.
- On top of that, we refund any payment in full if you ask within 14 days of that payment, the first one and every renewal, without a reason and without deducting anything for the days you used the plan. Details: refund policy.
- Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Your data and the people you add
- The hours and other data you enter remain yours. You can download them at any time as PDF and CSV.
- You give us permission to store and process that data only as needed to provide Clockhund. We don't use it for anything else and don't claim ownership.
- If you keep other people's hours, you must be allowed to, and you are the controller of their data. We process it on your behalf under our data processing agreement, which is part of these terms. How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.
10. Moving your data to another service (EU Data Act)
You can move your data to another provider or your own systems, or have it erased, at any time and free of charge:
- Notice: none is needed. You can start whenever you want; the contract ends when you cancel or delete your account, and at the latest two months after you tell us you want to switch.
- Data you can take with you: the people in your account, their working days (date, start, end, breaks, hours worked, notes), hourly rates, contract hours, your rule and display settings and shift templates. You can export the hours as CSV and PDF in the app at any time; on request we send you all of the data listed here as a machine-readable JSON file within 30 days.
- Transition: we keep the service running for up to 30 days after your notice to give you time to move (longer if a move within 30 days is technically impossible; we would tell you why).
- Afterwards: your data stays retrievable for at least 30 days after the contract ends (with a free account, for as long as the account exists). When you delete your account, everything in it is erased (see the privacy policy).
- Data formats and the methods we offer are described on this page and in the app's export menu. Switching costs nothing.
11. Acceptable use
Don't use Clockhund for anything illegal or harmful, don't try to break, scrape or overload it, and don't access other people's accounts. Keep your login links to yourself: anyone who opens one can sign in to your account. We may block access that breaks these rules; if possible we warn you first.
12. Our software and brand
The calculators, the code, the designs and the Clockhund brand belong to us. You may use the results, timesheets and files you make with Clockhund for any purpose, including your business. You may not copy, resell or offer the service itself.
13. Changes to the service and availability
- We develop Clockhund further. We may change the paid service if there is a valid reason, such as keeping it secure, adapting it to new laws or technical developments, or improving it, as long as the change costs you nothing extra. We tell you about changes in good time by email or in the app.
- If a change affects your access to or use of the paid service more than slightly, we tell you at least 30 days in advance. You can then end the subscription free of charge within 30 days of the change taking effect, and we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
- We work to keep Clockhund available, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, for example during maintenance or outages of our providers. If we decide to shut Clockhund down, we tell account holders at least 90 days in advance so you can download your data, and refund any period paid beyond the shutdown.
14. If something is wrong
For consumers, the statutory rights for defects in digital services apply (in the EU, the rules implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770). Please tell us about errors so we can fix them; we will fix a defect in the paid service within a reasonable time.
15. Liability
- We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under product liability law, for guarantees we have given, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited.
- For damage caused by slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract, one that makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. Our liability is then limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.
- Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence. For the free calculators and the free account, which you get without paying, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence, apart from the cases in the first point.
- Results are calculations based on what you enter (section 3). Please check them before you rely on them for pay or legal purposes.
- These limits also apply to our employees and agents.
16. Ending the contract
- You can end the free account at any time by deleting it in the app or by asking us to. Cancel a running subscription first (section 7), otherwise the team plan's remaining period is lost when the account is deleted.
- We can end a free account with 30 days' notice by email, and a subscription at the end of a billing period with 30 days' notice.
- Either side can end the contract immediately for good cause, for example if you seriously or repeatedly break section 11. If we end a subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for valid reasons, such as new features, changes in the law or court decisions, or to close gaps. We tell account holders by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect and show what changes. Changes to the price or to what the paid plan includes need your consent (sections 6 and 13). For other changes, you can object before they take effect; if you do, either of us can end the contract when they take effect, and we refund the unused part of a subscription. We point this out in the email. The date at the top shows the current version.
18. Law, courts and disputes
- These terms are governed by Czech law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
- If you use Clockhund as a business, the courts of Brno, Czech Republic, have jurisdiction, and the provisions that these terms reserve for consumers do not apply.
- Consumers can use out-of-court dispute resolution at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz); we take part in such proceedings. Please contact us first at hello@clockhund.com; most things are quicker to sort out by email.
- If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
